Writer |she/her 🗡️Speculative Fiction🪐 Short stories, poetry, zines, collages Words in Apex And Clarkesworld Clarion Writing Workshop '26! Never AI, obviously.

Eugenia has already said here everything I was going to say about this. One thing I will add is that the lasting thing I gained following this project was a deep hatred for AI slop and LLMs as anyone who has heard me speak on ths subject since knows. I saw how the sausage was made and rejected it.

In 2022, before Chatgpt and everything that came next, I participated in this study. It was framed as a research on a new tool that I could try and offer my opinion on. I didn't know that it was trained on copyrighted material.

Posts like this mean so much to me! Getting a story published is such an intense experience, knowing that there are hundreds of people out there reading my words. Thanks to all who take the time to not only read, but tell me their reactions! #writesky #writersofbluesky #scifi

"As the Tide Loves the Diver, as the Diver Loves the Tide" by @ravn-j-silver.bsky.social is a wonderful end to my Saturday of reading. We are perhaps in an over information age, and this imagines an entity that would save us from it, for better or worse, but it is also a story of deep affection.

If you subscribe on Patreon right now, you can get the August issue delivered right to your email---featuring my story!!

We're still pushing away at our goal of giving our entire team a raise in celebration of our 20th anniversary issue in October. Each subscription takes us one step closer. clarkesworldmagazine.com/subscribe/ There isn't a better way to thank them for their part in the last 20 and the next 20.

Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.

Rough day, so have a poem about the Jar of Moles in the Grant Zoology Museum in London that everyone has regarded as too thoroughly batshit to publish

Jar of Moles (Grant Zoology Museum, London)
crittery dozened things each pink snout snootling
formaldehyde up it's bamboozler which poor fuck
had to collect them out in the dirt with a shovel
here moley moley BONK . I’m only gonna
put you in a jar and let tourists go eww at you
for the next two hundred years god look at me
for two hundred years I’d do anything look
mummy, one of them’s licking the glass—
honey it's dead velvety sweet sardined hope
their ghosts are friends teeming in a molish
afterlife dark and circular everything worm-
flavoured tasty buggy snackerels what if
you smashed the mole jar? vinegared
moles spilling out flaccid & swimming
everyone screaming someone saying Freddy
you gotta get us a new jar of moles—
—goddammit boss I never asked for any of this
A jar of wet preserved moles, the jar is very full and all the little hands, feet and snoots mark it as both upsetting and fascinating

imo queer kids naming themselves “Tooth” or “Moss” or whatever are doing the exact same thing Siouxsie Sioux and Rat Scabies did in 1976. Punching back at traditional identity construction. True punk. They’re not “making the movement look bad,” they’re just cooler than you. Let em cook.

Difficult post, but past time to rip the band aid off. FIYAH is going on hiatus indefinitely, with issue #40 currently set to be our last for the time being. The mag cannot continue running at a loss, and needs time to reassess operations from top to bottom if a viable path forward is to be created.
