I truly feel for kids growing up now who will have to unlearn using AI, but if you've been writing for more than 2 years it is the easiest thing in the world to just Keep Doing The Thing You Did and ignore AI tools!! It makes me feel crazy that people act like this isn't the case!!!

it's actually sad as hell to use AI for research when research is the fun part. you can just email people and call them on the phone and ask them questions about the thing that they have expertise in. you can read documents & learn cool shit. ok now i'm just talking about how being a reporter is fun

I’m not a deltarune head but listening to the ost I wish I was, it’s so good with barely any context, god knows how good it is when you’re emotionally invested Toby is a wizard

combat for my monster catcher game has a pretty much fully functional loop now! been working on levelling up and learning moves today, and bar a couple of silly typos it basically worked first time! gotta start working on items next and that's a little daunting ahah #gamedev #indiedev #gamemaker

screencap showing the end of a turn-based combat battle. The opponent Lagometchi is at 0HP, the player Malacrash is at full HP and almost full exp. Text on screen reads "Lagometchi can no longer fight"Follow up to the previous screencap. the opponent has and their HP are gone. The player's level has increased and the exp bar is now almost empty. The text reads "Malacrash grew to level 41"

Obviously not a legal expert but surely if Sony has been selling perpetual licenses to watch films they do not have perpetual licenses to distribute, people who have bought said films from Sony have in fact been missold and are entitled to refunds

Reality is a camera trick. Films, games, police bodycams — all depict a version of the first-person perspective. We use those sources to unconsciously decide what “real life” should look like through that digital lens. The camera manipulates our expectations, always. youtu.be/BEM_qZEX5VU

Thumbnail for Jacob's video. POV shot: a right hand fires a gun, while a left hand films the scene with a phone camera. In the background, the text "First-Person" is superimposed onto the scene.

I spent like 5 hours yesterday building a new system and then the minute I went to bed I realised a much simpler way of handling it and rebuilt the whole thing in just 1 hour this morning lol

english isn't for cowards. if you're not saying 'torpify,' that's a skill issue. there's no Académie Française telling you what to do. if you try to type 'pallific' and freak out when you see a little red underline, maybe you're not ready to roll with the big dogs.
