WATCH — Abby Phillip to Tim Parrish: “Trump’s sons are doing business deals that have a direct relationship with the 🇺🇸 government… the double standard is YOUR problem. If you had a problem with Hunter Biden, you should have 10x the problem with the Trumps.”

💸 Did you know there's NO value limit on gifts for Supreme Court Justices? ⚖️ That's why today Rep. Raskin, Freethought Caucus co-chair, introduced a bill to limit gifts for Justices to $50. Congress members have had to obey this limit for decades. Read more ➡️ bit.ly/3TyLpjq
HEGSETH: President Trump deserves the kind of praise he should get for undertaking this effort REED: Excuse me. So he should be praised for starting a war without authority and creating a situation in which the world economy is suffering tremendously?
The Pentagon is withholding causality and hit numbers. The CDC is withholding infection rates. The FDA is withholding information about food contamination. The EPA is withholding pollution and climate data. This corrupt administration is ALL about concealing the consequences of its incompetence.
The most egregious act of electoral fraud in American history. It was accompanied by numerous similar frauds, many of them legalized by the FEC, which largely just gave up enforcing campaign finance law after Citizens United and legalized nearly all coordination between PACs and campaigns.

I just read there's a feature film under development starring an AI-generated actor and I think it's time we called the blade runners
@coyotespeaks.bsky.social Great episode! Because my life rests in the middle of a Venn diagram comprised of "Forest Gump" and "Rosencranz and Gildenstern are dead", I happen to know Jim Garlow. His son came through the Christian recovery program I was resident staff at for 17 years.
Bwahahaha! I never expected to see the original image I used to photoshop @brooklynmarie.bsky.social into out in the wild, but here we are... 🤣
i'm sorry i know this is serious business but i need to post this
Today’s free newsletter has a very simple message: The AI industry can not (and will not) be bailed out - AI is not too big to fail, OpenAI is not AIG, this is not 2008, and all of this is nothing like the Dot Com Bubble. And when it fails, we must let AI burn. www.wheresyoured.at/let-ai-burn/

Terror Charges and the Criminalization of Pro-Palestine Activism in the Czech Republic Despite a separate group claiming they lit a fire at a defense manufacturing facility connected to Elbit Systems, 11 pro-Palestine activists have been detained in a political "witchhunt." Doc/article at website.
Never mind that Vance got conned, the fact that the vice president saying he heard second-hand from the president's son-in-law and the president's real estate buddy that the strait was open is humiliating on its own.

Anthropic is an actual cult run through deception. Jack Clark should be ashamed of himself as should anyone who doesn’t actively critique this. These are blatant lies! www.ft.com/content/e176...
Also really appreciated the chance to talk about the data center credit bubble, and the overall collapse of value in private credit and private equity, which is funded by insurance and pension funds.
Had a great time talking to @chrislhayes.bsky.social for his AI End Game series on MSNow, covering the AI bubble, the SaaSpocalypse, the end of tech's era of hypergrowth, and the underlying economic fragility of data centers and the greater AI industry. www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Mn-...
Free newsletter: The AI ROI debate has come at worst time for Anthropic and OpenAI - two companies that can’t afford to slow down thanks to their $1.1 trillion in compute commitments and a data center buildout that needs a trillion in annual revenue by 2030. www.wheresyoured.at/ai-is-slowing-down/

Decided to pull out an important part of the interview. Generative AI is often justified with comparisons to the cost of Amazon Web Services ($57bn) or Uber's ($32bn) in losses, when its costs and losses are hundreds of billions of dollars worse. And there's no post-bubble redemption story.
Anthropic and OpenAI are dangerous and unsustainable companies that shouldn’t be taken public. The AI bubble is a con and retail investors are the marks. AI doesn’t have ROI, it’s nothing like AWS or Uber, and it’s got no post-bubble recovery story. www.youtube.com/watch?v=zbKD...
From the scandal known as Hondurasgate all the way back to the post-World-War use of the country as an “unsinkable aircraft carrier” for American interests, Honduras is in our spotlight.
