I remain a dork who likes to go to bigger cities and just ride their public transit for a while. The NYC Subway is one of my favorite places to go. I live close to the East Busway and have basically the best version of Pittsburgh's public transit and I still wish it were better.

Another friend's parent, a lifelong republican voter, and occasional Fox viewer, went on a tirade at them a few years ago about how they don't think it's fair that trans people should get their own new bathrooms, and should have to use the existing bathroom that matches their gender identity.

If you bought your home 50 years ago, you're doing just fine. That it might not continue to appreciate *quite as fast as it did before* is not city government's concern.
