I enjoy the absurdity of humanity. Perfect is boring. Things to say about communities, tech, culture, leadership, L&D, and social dynamics. Writing a book titled Control Is for Amateurs. Founder of Engaged Organizations. Prior, The Community Roundtable.

Control Is for Amateurs. Accepting our lack of control is, interestingly, critical to accepting appropriate accountability for our own actions/decisions. In my work in engagement, leadership, and culture the biggest issue is negotiating yours, mine, and ours for individuals.

I think that everyone should watch this video. So often people blame victims. As someone who was sexually assaulted, and was a victim of child abuse, it's particularly irksome to me. There's a lot to be gained from learning about rhetoric, logic and fallacies.

I really wish that a large fraction of the “ICE is still in X place” attention were being paid to stuff like this. It’s not even about the people getting apprehended today. It’s about the people who DISENROLLED FROM THEIR LIVES out of fear and are now trying to pick back up.

The world may have moved on from Minneapolis but its immigrant community continues to struggle. We spoke to single mothers who hid from ICE for months, ran through their savings, and now can’t pay to renew their DACA applications. At least dozens are in this situation. 19thnews.org/2026/07/ice-...

I love how the Scots & Boston had a mutual admiration party going on and then they went to Miami and where essentially meh - and the Miami police treated them like marauders from the North, ready to riot. Not sure where Miami is politically, but Boston is as blue as they come.

Most of the World Cup games were in blue cities. Thousands of complimentary videos. An amazing event handled incredibly well. Not a word from Dems taking a victory lap

This is brilliant - in large part because it makes use of space that already exists so other things don’t need to be demolished and uses existing, familiar routes making it an easier transition. Let’s do this on 93 in Boston, where people could bike to subway and commuter rail stations.

South Korea built solar panels over highway medians and turned the space underneath into protected bike lanes. Clean energy + safe cycling, using infrastructure that already exists.

I'm never going to get over the fact that the president of the United States paid a woman more than $5 million after a jury found him liable for raping her. And he's still president. And people still support him. Never. Get. Over. It.

When Democrats fought to extend the Florida recount in 2000, Republicans blanketed the airwaves with this stuff, even printing up Sore/Loserman signs that mimicked the Gore/Lieberman campaign. It was very effective! Trump *is* a sore loser and he *is* throwing a sad tantrum. Call it out like that!

Sen. Ossoff: Tonight, Donald Trump, the world's most famous sore loser, will deliver a prime time presidential sour grapes address to pursue his 6-year-old grievances about the 2020 election.
