Why does Mattingly insist on constantly warming up everyone in the bullpen every game. Can his son explain to him that we don’t do that anymore? I don’t care if it is the one that is the GM or the teenage one.
Viking funeral, but it's fire in a barrel in the Italian Market.
Kruk going to Valhalla
Maybe the Delco Dads were right?!? (About this 1 thing.)
I'm going to quote post because I think much of the issues people have/had with the Phillies were baked into the cake already and the deadline is a result of past issues and yesterday was a lot of cake eating.
I was wondering why I was the only one decently happy with the Phillies' trade deadline when everyone else seemed frustrated they didn't get more. Then I remembered the Sixers deadline I just lived through.
They traded a really good prospect in an attempt to actually murder their very good pitching staff
Harper said he expects to play right field on Tuesday. He reiterated his move there is temporary; the plan is for him to return to first base in 2027. He lauded Bryson Stott for agreeing to move to third, a position he’s barely played. (Bohm has a decent amount of 1B time.)
I would've rather them do nothing
Don Mattingly said the plan is for Bryce Harper to play RF, Alec Bohm to play 1B and Bryson Stott to be at 3B. Luis Arraez will be here Tuesday. Mattingly said the Phillies will have to “ease” Harper into right field, and it’s unclear how they will do that.
Ben Cherington forever rebuild son or Mike Elias forever rebuild daughter
They're trading to Ward to backfill giving us Arozarena
BREAKING: The Seattle Mariners are acquiring outfielder Taylor Ward in a trade with the Baltimore Orioles, sources tell ESPN.
The funny thing is, as much as people want Arraez's style of play to be what wins in October, he's .224/.246/.284 in 70 postseason PA and his teams are 1-5.
I called him "Ben Revere with better PR" a few too many times it seems
lol I've always thought Luis Arraez was hilariously overrated and now I have to root for him, wonderful
They seem to have treated Marquez like he was burning a hole in his pocket, and that just always seemed stupid
I'm going to vomit and will need someone to post bail
@JonHeyman tweeted Rays, Rangers, Phillies are among teams on Luis Arraez, who prefers to stay at 2B where he’s thrived this year in SF. Yanks like him but positional fit might be an issue for them.
My Luis Castillo opinion is that he was the guy I wanted the Phillies to trade Hellickson to Miami for in 2016. Instead they had a deal for Josh Naylor, that the Marlins rejected in favor of acquiring broken pitchers the Padres lied about.
Tfw you know you have to watch 3 innings of this bullpen
Everyone who complained about Rob's bullpen usage should receive a swift kick to the genitals
2022 Angelo is horny for Varsho. 2026 Angelo is wondering when the fuck we're going to get a righty
@JonHeyman tweeted Daulton Varsho is named after Darren Daulton. Varsho’s dad Gary played briefly with the Phillies great. h/t @theaceofspaeder for the reminder 💬 @JonHeyman Daulton Varsho is among players who interest the Phillies. Philly seeks an OF, pen and a starter.
Everyone not named Cotham is getting fired after this season and Dave is going to start putting his exit plan into place.
Phillies have lost 8 of 11 since the All-Star break. They have scored 0 or 1 runs in 6 of those 11 games. It's their worst stretch of baseball since April.
I mean, they have the lowest OPS in baseball, this is who they are.
A salary cap isn't going to defeat the Dodgers. It's honestly going to make them even stronger. It's not like Andrew Friedman cut his teeth with an open checkbook. He was running the fucking Devil Rays.
Dodgers have a 12 game lead in NL West, so I looked at each of the division’s top 100 prospects according to MLB.com Dodgers have 9 Dbacks have 2 Padres have 1 Giants have 3 Rockies have 3 Dodgers have as many top 100 prospects as the rest of the division combined. www.mlb.com/milb/prospects
would anyone like a completely fresh 57-year-old 24-year-old in near mint condition for the low low price of take him please?
The Philadelphia 76ers have been looking for a trade for Johni Broome. If they can’t find one, the team may waive and stretch Broome’s salary. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope wont clear waivers until tomorrow. The Sixers have time to work out the move to clear room to sign KCP.
A Phillies-Yankees game with Joe Girardi on the call is great social media theater: you have hundreds of Phillies fans posting "I fucking hate Joe Girardi" and hundreds of Yankees fans posting "I fucking wish we had Joe Girardi back."
Come to think of it pretty cool Girardi gets to see the guy he sent down to the minors a half-dozen times take the mound as a Cy Young candidate starter.
