Unqualified opinions on all sorts of stuff, but mainly bikes (mtn), & football (Fulham FC). Lapsed tour operator, raft & ski guide, QS for a few weeks

Large anti-racism gatherings in Belfast, Glasgow, Sheffield, Londonderry/Derry and Brighton and they get much less news coverage than when a few hundred racists march. Our news coverage needs to do better. The vast majority don’t agree with Yaxley-Lennon, Farage and Lowe

“I said it’s good of Nigel Farage to speak out about the murder of Henry Nowak. What did I say Roy?” “You said he’s a cynical piece of shit who’s exploiting a tragedy to spread hatred and division”

Yesterday in the village we held a bring & buy sale. All proceeds went to a charity supporting those earning just over £100K in the UK. These people can barely keep their children in private education & are now being forced to shop at Tesco’s . Please keep them in your prayers.🙏

This is the best cycling advert ever, especially because I’m in it. It beautifully shows that cycling is for everyone, no matter who you are or where you come from. Bikes bring people together and remind us that cycling is one of the best ways to improve our health and wellbeing.

If you don’t see what’s happening here, if you still think there is zero media bias against the Left, and no smear campaign going on against the Greens, you are completely deluded. The man arrested was a Reform voter.😡

Can’t vouch for its accuracy but even if only some of this pic is correct, it shows the legal tangle necessary to make shooting pheasants legal. And presumably the correlation between our lawmakers and those who call massacring animals for fun ‘sport’. (Sorry can’t credit artist.)

Flow chart highlighting the need to regularly reclassify pheasants as livestock or wildlife according to their treatment, from rearing and releasing to feeding and shooting, in order to make the practice legal.

Here’s Clive outing himself as an idiot. Every study, and even the few times it’s been implemented, have shown this to be a stupid idea. Concentrate on where the real danger comes from Clive. Hint: it’s not cyclists, even selfish ones

A Telegraph headline saying “It is time to make selfish cyclists display a licence plate” with the byline CLIVE ASLET

One thing in common for the streets chosen by the Telegraph as Britain’s prettiest - almost no cars. there are a few parked up in the two seaside choices, but streets look better without them and they’re way more user friendly for people to live their lives and spend money

One of the streets described by The Telegraph as the UK’s prettiest - this one in car free ClovellyOne of the streets described by The Telegraph as the UK’s prettiest - this one a narrow lane with tables outside what maybe a cafe in TenbyOne of the streets described by The Telegraph as the UK’s prettiest- this one is Grey Steer in Newcastle with the colonnaded theatre in the foreground and a pair of no entry signs alongside the roadOne of the streets described by The Telegraph as the UK’s prettiest - this one cobbled Victoria Street in Edinburgh busy with pedestrians

How Telegraph headlines lie…in fact having grossly underestimated the rebuild costs (as they guessed them during the purchase), they finally shopped around and managed to get insurance for under £1,500 per year. Absolute non-story

A middle aged couple stand in front of a thatched cottage. The bald, bearded, overweight man has a red v neck jumper that used to fit him and a grumpy look perfected for Angry People in Local Newspapers

An #FACup weekend without VAR really shows how much better football is without it - especially for fans in the grounds. Most decisions are correct and the game flows. Goal celebrations don’t need to be paused; emotions can be allowed to be free. Time to scrap #VAR
