'You'll choke too' - an aerial embroidery landscape inspired by all the wildfires happening right now... I'm upset every time I smell smoke outside and somehow we have people starting them maliciously too! But we all breathe the same air so they'll choke too (1/2 - see thread for close-ups)

An embroidery hoop containing a sewn landscape from above. It shows a forest on the right, a line of fire and charred ground with smoke on the left. The smoke is felted wool.

Goodnight from the passengers of the glass-bottled SS Hookland Star, wondering why they never reach their intended port. Goodnight from Jemima Wooton, stretched full of wicked dreams of how to punish her brother for immolating her favourite Sindy doll. Goodnight from Hookland.

Not only do they make candy, and donate thousands of pounds of it to food banks, but they love doggos too?!? Time to order another box of See’s caramel lollipops!

This is exactly why they want us to believe their machines are sentient. First, because that implies its creators have godlike powers (and should be worshipped) and, second, so that it is the machine, and its “decisionmaking,” that caused a crisis, not those who built the machine or fed it prompts.

99% of the time, when someone accuses you of selective outrage, it’s a way of politically demobilizing you and shutting you up “Why are you angry about data centers instead of fast fashion” isn’t about making you care about fast fashion. It’s about shutting you up about data centers And visa versa

Live Photo basically ruined most of my photos from the Kurt Vile concert the other night. I still managed some gems but WHY DO I HAVE TO FIGHT MY PHONE TO TAKE A BASIC PHOTOGRAPH?! “Here’s another purple blur, girl! Welcome to the future!”

Why does my phone repeatedly turn live photos back on? What is apple gaining from all this?
