Tinsman Road took me out (complimentary). Very unfortunately relatable (I’m sure it will be for many people dealing with grief), but it made me feel less alone, I think. Incredibly intensely creepy ending stretch, really amazing. This movie will always be special to me. 🖤🖤

A naturalistic lo-fi ghost story about how grief can consume survivors of a tragedy, and how we struggle to impose a narrative on something senseless in hopes of shaping its incoherence. Banfitch and his mother have an honest natural chemistry as they grapple with the enormity of their situation.

Something I think about a lot is the line from Crimson Peak: “It’s not a ghost story, it’s a story with ghosts.” Great way to describe this movie. Fall Set northeastern lofi found footage that’s Haunting, beautiful and eerie as hell. So glad more people get to see this now.

Tinsman Road is another banger from Banfitch that is 110% worth the price of admission. Lots of emotion and scares but this time with a back-to-basics approach to found footage that I wish we saw more of in the 2020s. Watch it now while you can!
