The petty tribal provincialism of UK Labour & its branch office unionism. First Minister @JohnSwinney has just schmoozed Trump into removing his tariffs on whisky. Douglas Alexander bitched about him intervening & is having a tantrum now he’s succeeded.

Good for Sadiq Khan. The prospect of Palantir getting it's hands on law and order in the UK is terrifying - the word ICE should immediately go through everyone's mind. Yet again - thank the Lord for the SNP government - they're probably all that is keeping Scotland free of this extremism.

Scotland has the lowest child poverty rate in the UK, and 90,000 fewer children live in poverty thanks to our policies. But decisions at Westminster have too often held us back. I want to fully eradicate child poverty, and Scotland should have the full powers to do it.

We promised all the money set aside to mitigate the two-child cap would be spent on continuing to tackle child poverty, and we’re delivering on that promise. Children First say this will be ‘life changing,’ and will further drive down child poverty in Scotland – already the lowest in the UK.

Done because the Scottish government has been lauded internationally for their efforts. Scottish election in 2026 and Labour are absolutely bricking it, hence her special shout out to wee Anas in a vain attempt to make him sound relevant. It can be undone as quickly. Today is #RLSDay which marks the birthday of the Scottish writer Robert Louis Stevenson who would have been 175 today. It's also a good day to remember that it is NOT actually his birthday because in 1891 he gave it away to a young girl because she didn't like her birthday. 🧵
