NEW: Meta has run dozens of paid ads that include explicit, AI-generated child sexual abuse material in recent months. Some as recently as this week. "These are ads that were reviewed, approved, and allowed to run by Meta, never encountering interference while the company collected the ad dollars."

This is a repeated pattern Burnham has already displayed - portraying environmental protection and economic prosperity as zero sum, sacrificing one for the other. It might be canny short term politics, but it’s a horrible message that validates the culture messaging of the climate deniers

Maybe Stavridis has priors on this kind of thing (or old beef with US defence firms) that I don't know about, but I find it very interesting that he's so vocal in this piece arguing that Canada should try to rapidly diversify partnerships and significantly decouple from the US defence industry.

This Saturday, Hawai'i is holding their primary, which also has the best chance, so far, to remove a Trump-friendly Dem. Ed Case (HI-1, 20.8%) is facing State Senator Jarrett Keohokalole. He supports Medicare for All, is to the left of Case on immigration, and supports trans rights.

And finally, is a letter from a 9 year old girl. It reads: "Hello, my name is ((D)16) (b(7/C). I am 9 years old. Can you help me get out of this jail? We are children, not criminals. We are 3 siblings, my mom and my dad. Please, a federal judge see this letter and help us. (b) (6), (b) (7)(C) (b) (6), (b)7) (C) We have been here for 47 days. (b) (6), (b)(7) (C) Leave us in your country, don't deport us." It includes a drawing of her family behind bars, followed by "LIBERTAD." You'll notice that the date she wrote at the top (they put the day before the month is the same as the date it was snatched from her and entered into "evidence" per the stamp at the top right corner.
