IIRC, this was the last game in the KSU-Nebraska series where both QBs played well. Starting the next year, the pass completion stats for the closing QB were 1999 - Beasley 3-of-15 2000 - Crouch 2-of-13 2001 - Roberson 1-of-11

The 2015 Little Brown Jug game. It was on Halloween night in Minneapolis, and that was the best atmosphere of any Gophers game I’ve been to. In years. And yes, the end of the game sucked. But I was SO entertained.
What’s the single “best” college football game you’ve attended live? Not necessarily due to your rooting interests, but the best/most tense/entertaining game.
With Paul Weiss’s settlement back in the news, re-upping @knightcolumbia.org's podcast, “Lawyering Without Law,” exploring the role and responsibility of lawyers in an era of authoritarianism. It’s *really* good. Please listen & share it with your lawyer friends. knightcolumbia.org/content/lawy...

If you can't instantly recognize 20 consequential things that are better today than 40 years ago you are a fucking child.
There are 6 days until polls close on August 11. This election is too important to sit back or sit out. Make your plan to vote, then send this post to three friends & make sure they have a plan to vote on or by August 11! MNVotes.org
Aside from the obvious advances in medicine, infrastructure, logistics, etc., it’s genuinely fantastic that I have a navigation system in my pocket now and no longer have to rely on my friend telling me to take two right turns after the light and before I pass the old Texaco station on the left.
So this is basically one of the entry points to becoming a reactionary
Can't get numb to this stuff. Pursuing a case that you know lacks PC, getting an indictment via grand jury misconduct, and doing so for corrupt purposes coming directly from the president. There's not much a prosecutor can do that's worse than this.

You can/should read Emily Wilson's latest take on the Odyssey, but I'm logging on to convey my hairdresser's reaction. She was AGHAST that Nolan, with his million $ budget, gave Matt Damon ONLY 6 hair extensions. As a result, his hair did not blow around properly, & that ruined the film for her.
“My guy wants to put a data center in your backyard either to give himself gender-affirming care and make a muscle video, or to portray me as a…hero?" Abdul El-Sayed reacts to Republican Mike Rogers' AI ad showing him, Mamdani, AOC, and Bernie as communists inside a Trojan Horse:
Also, my fellow Gopher fans, I’m disappointed that nobody in this poll shares our “this is totally the year” optimism. Again.
The Preseason Coaches Poll is out, with Ohio State at No. 1, and defending champion Indiana at No. 6.
You can never just move on from this, even after he's gone. Without punishment and ostracism for everyone who has participated in his crime spree over the last 18 months you can forget it- we're all just treading water until the next tyrant

James Talarico: Since taking office, Ken Paxton has become a multi-millionaire — all while most Texans’ pay has remained stagnant for decades. He now owns 15 homes, while most Texans can't afford one. We can't afford Ken Paxton's corruption.
I don't even know what to say. This is real, this is true, so, like, thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. This took over 25 years to happen so if there's any lesson here it's either "keep at it, who knows" or "many people are divorced"
Mailed in my ballot for the Minnesota primaries. The Hennepin County attorney race is particularly fascinating to me.
The “get politics out of sports” crowd is sure having a normal one
R.I.P. David “David Z.” Rivkin, a key figure in the Minneapolis Sound. He had a heavy hand in such hits as Kiss by Prince and the Revolution, and She Drives Me Crazy by Fine Young Cannibals. He was also in the group Lipps Inc, best known for Funkytown. Bobby Z. of The Revolution is his brother.
I mean, my tax dollars are going to support military strikes I’m 100% opposed to. At least Mamdani is using tax money to feed NYC residents.
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
"Edwin Jovanny Lopez Cornejo, who we’re told had been in America for 20 years and came here as a child, died on Saturday, August 1. He had a 12-year-old daughter." Justice for Edwin Jovanny Lopez Cornejo and his family.

They think they're being clever eugenicists by saying that people with "underlying health issues" don't matter, but >75% of U.S. adults have a chronic condition (including 60% of age 18–34). So what they're really saying is "nobody matters, it's okay if everybody dies from inadequate regulation."
Breaking News: Two deaths in Michigan have been linked to cyclospora. Both people who had the parasite also had underlying health issues.
It’s August 2026 and Aaron Rodgers is having a full blown meltdown about Anthony Fauci.
