I was bored last night and migrated my game to GBStudio 4.3.2. Nothing is broken so far ✌️

How many people have actually experienced boredom?
I feel sorry for people who didn't grow up with true boredom. The kind of rainy day in the 70s or 80s with only black & white films on TV, nothing to do on a hot Saturday, or empty time after a school day boredom. There was self discovery, reading, experimentation, play - and joy - in that boredom.
Just sign in with your Twitch account and leave a comment. That's it. Takes five minutes. I would like to continue having the option to stream (and watching my friends' streams) without training an AI model for who the fuck knows what.
If you love and care for any twitch streamer and you want to prevent Gen AI on twitch from stealing and training off creators PLEASE sign here. #twitch #GenAI #TwitchCreators
You even don't need a vtuber model to use these either!! You can also huck them at REAL LIVING PEOPLE (and Nago)!!✨

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.
Everyone's yelling about how awful it was playing through ZA, which they apparently had to do, again? Did I go back in time?
friday thoughts: I think it's important that shiny hunters be vocal about and continue to recommend accessible hunting options like emulation and/or flashcarts for newer folks looking to get into the hobby but think they are unable to due to the high cost of games/equipment they see most ppl use
the way people talk about red and blue you’d think they’d be unplayable, as if they didn’t get played millions of times by children and adults alike in the 90’s without a problem. if you do a normal playthrough, it’s just a game. things are pretty normal actually.
In response to the unprecedented number of game developers laid off this year, we have created a bundle on itch to benefit a Game Industry Hardship Fund, managed by @videogameworkers.bsky.social. More than 100 games for 10+ bucks! Please share widely and donate generously! itch.io/b/3802/game-...

For seven years, I've had the privilege of reporting on accessibility and the disabled perspective. And now, during my seventh Disability Pride Month in this industry, I'm left wondering if this beat is coming to an end. Read my first @skyboxcritics.com piece here: skyboxcritics.com/2026/07/28/t...
The vanishing art of disability reporting
As the games industry contracts, disability reporting is facing an extinction-level crisis.

Some days the internet provides gems. This thread started as ADHD strategies, which I thought wouldn't apply to me as my executive functioning is fine. Instead it's my body that is no longer cooperating. Turns out, the mindset suggested here is just as relevant for my situation.
"Do the thing you can do instead of beating yourself up over not doing the thing you're not doing" is honestly life-changing, even life-saving, advice.

This concept was introduced to me as "run the dishwasher twice" and was an important part of my executive functioning recovery as well as my path to self-acceptance.
The internal conversations before posting this must have been hilarious
