Looking at this as someone who has spent the past 22+ years closely connected to DOD infectious disease research, keenly aware of the incredible contributions to US and global health that have been made… the secrecy and broader context of this are deeply problematic

We already have special research funds for diseases that impact our military. Hegseth has requested a $1.5 TRILLION budget.   Still, the DOD is diverting funds for medical research at NIH.   Stopping lifesaving treatments & cures to help wage foreign wars. This must end.
