I haven’t been able to find a snap poll but I’m exhausted & don’t wanna dig. If he wants to win the general he’s got a few things he could do to maybe help his odds. I’m skeptical he’ll do them but he’ll need to humble himself. Not even breaking 49%, let alone 50% is a worst case scenario for him.

Looks like Blanche is getting in. Collins only votes against her party when it doesn't matter.

Look on the bright side, Michigan voters. - No more Perry Johnson or Shri Thanedar TV ads, at least for another two years.

Whoever ends up winning the Democratic nomination for Senate in Michigan, I hope with little expectation that those who took seriously polls showing a rout for El-Sayed will think twice about relying on questionable and/or partisan polls.

There's a difference between protesting and a bullying effort to silence. If you can't respect the difference, you don't believe in pluralism, and further, you want authoritarianism. I don't want Dictator Anybody, much less Dictator Abdul.

Jeremy Moss was my state senator before Michigan redistricting in 2021, and I've voted for him in the #MI-11 House Dem primary this year. He's an outstanding public official. I've heard nothing about this Faroooi person until a few days ago, and after this I don't want to hear anything more. Vile.

This kind of violent, demonizing language is one reason why I don't want Abdul El-Sayed anywhere near public office. He believes in authoritarianism, not pluralism, and one gets one's way through threats and bullying rather than persuasion. He's not much different than Trump.

So, @eugenedaniels2.bsky.social on @theweekendmsnow.bsky.social thinks Abdul El-Sayed is a "fighter" and Haley Stevens "not so much." Translation: Stevens is a workhorse legislator focused on constituent interests. El-Sayed is an aspiring media personality looking to enhance his public profile.

No, but Democrats still need overwhelming African-American support to win in most states and nationwide. The whitebread Dem-leaning faculty and student bodies of Dartmouth and the University of Iowa should not have an outsize role in choosing Dem presidential nominees.

This is a huge get for Haley Stevens. Whitmer is the most popular Democratic politician in the state. I've had issues with Whitmer in recent months, but I also know those issues aren't on most voters' minds. Haley Stevens got a big boost today.
