My last article as the labour reporter at @pressprogress.ca is about.... media layoffs! Earlier this month, Rogers closed six stations and laid off 230 radio workers across the country. In Vancouver, the layoffs hit a newsroom that had struggled for years to unionize.

PressProgress has been put in a pretty dire financial situation because of a major lawsuit, so while this wasn’t exactly a total surprise for me, I didn’t think it would come to this so soon.

There are still young men and boys who look up to this man for god knows what reason. The evidence continues to pile up (although it was already abundantly clear).
