Less helpful now that citation software like Zotero exists, but i just discovered that cmd-T (or cntrl-T) auto-indents your citations. It's the small things sometimes...

“Research is essential to the task of humanistic formation, even at a teaching-focused college… a prime opportunity to promote the virtues academics are best positioned to model for students: curiosity, persistence, devotion to the truth, and humility in the face of everything we do not know”

Opinion | The False Choice That Could Kill the Humanities

The tension between teaching and scholarship is not as acute as critics pretend.

Congratulations to the “Project Implicit,” which received🏆2026 SIPS Mission Award! Project Implicit offers online tests to millions of participants, uses those tests to document implicit and explicit biases, and shares massive open datasets to power discoveries in psychology and beyond.

Project Implicit

Project Implicit runs on small donations, most under $5. That’s what keeps the tests online, the data public, and the science accessible to anyone around the world who is interested in learning about…

do people know about china's data sovereignty law? says that data can't leave china. seems like a major issue for cross-cultural work/cross-national collaborations...

Maybe it's because i'm writing a paper about ethics but we're re-watching Grey's anatomy from the beginning and Izzie Stephens is so un-ethical is makes my blood boil

Have been thinking of writing something that argues the underrepresentation of non-white samples in dev psych is because of embedded cultures of whiteness into structures -- particularly the primacy of the nuclear family. But where to send something like that

Project Implicit is facing an existential threat. After almost 30 years, 60 million visitors, and hundreds of published papers, funding for our work has disappeared. We’ve never held a fundraising drive before, but we need your support to keep our site running. Please consider donating! 🙏

Project Implicit is a research nonprofit behind tools millions use to understand bias. Like many public science orgs, sustaining this work has become increasingly difficult. We are at risk of closing without additional support. Help protect this impt work by donating here: 4agc.com/donate/impli...
