@abdulelsayed.bsky.social triumphing over something like $60 million, $32-ish million of it AIPAC money, is not a "narrow" victory, it's a people's earthquake. This kind of spending is oligarchy in action, to smother democracy through its formal channels, and is getting normalized. Still he won.
Proud of my home state. Needed to be a much bigger margin, though. We'll work on it.
Dr. Abdul El-Sayed won the Democratic primary race for Senate in Michigan on Tuesday, according to The Associated Press, defeating Haley Stevens, a four-term moderate. This victory signaled liberal voters’ anti-establishment mood and shifting sentiment against Israel. nyti.ms/4hgCOvS
I understand why he wears the shorts and hoodies now: when he dresses like a senator it looks like they put a big angry baby in a suit.
New worst sentence just dropped
First day on call for this week and I've already been paged three times. Bodes well for the big migration happening this weekend that I am also on call for!
New York City’s business elites are long accustomed to direct access to City Hall, where even Democratic mayors felt the need to court the city’s wealthiest and most influential corporate leaders. That access is getting shredded by Mayor Zohran Mamdani.
Mamdani Is Shunning New York Business Leaders Who Are Used to Calling the Shots
The mayor fired corporate leaders from a city fund’s advisory board in the latest sign that he is changing the way such power brokers access City Hall.

This is the story of how a group of perfectly ordinary neighbors took on one of the worst landlords in New York. And won. Introducing, the Union of Pinnacle Tenants: the short film. Watch the full film: youtu.be/h5dvGKI26ZA
Haley Stevens’ campaign slogan “Suffer, Like G Did” has failed to resonate with the electorate.
Too early to get too excited but I'm seeing a lot of uneasy squirming in the liberal corner. Good.
my neighborhood 7-11 closed a couple years ago and tried to reopen but couldn’t get the permit approved because there’s a preschool next door and 7-11s sell alcohol (the previous permit was grandfathered in). i saw a fence going up around the lot recently and looked up what was moving in: a gun shop
i’m never gonna be able to fire a cruise missile yet the question of using my tax dollars for them has never been up for debate
Opinion: Mamdani's idea may sound appealing, but it's NYC taxpayers who will take the hit, subsidizing discounts they may never even use.
this guy was once held up as the future of the democratic party
A video taken Saturday shows former NYC Mayor Eric Adams in sales pitch mode in Wisconsin Rapids, as he's heckled by residents opposed to the data center he's trying to sell them on. "My name is Eric Adams," he begins, as the boos begin to rain down. "You belong in prison!" one attendee shouts.

someone needs to tell him that even the israelis have started using the "hamas-run health ministry" numbers because they know the real number is hundreds of thousands higher
This guy has 20,000 followers and is using his platform to do Gazan holocaust denialism
The Republican Party has gone full mask-off Nazi; meanwhile the media narrative being pushed 24/7 is “ahhh! Democrats are being taken over by socialist radicals!!” and their terrifying examples are Miss Rachel, a doctor who wants you to have healthcare, and the friendliest mayor in American history.
Party that spent the last decade grooming and funding and encouraging blind nazi ideologues to run for office and government positions : uh oh
if I ever taught film criticism lesson one would be “you being smarter than the movie is not interesting to anyone”
IN CASE YOU MISSED IT: The Jerusalem Post article below, titled “Israeli lawyer advocates killing Palestinians to BBC week after Gilad Farm deadly shooting,” speaks for itself. You can access the article by clicking the link here: www.jpost.com/israel-news/...

Supermicro hardware has got to be the worst I've ever come across in terms of administration.
Abdul was asked the does Israel have a right question four times in a row on CNN and he kept saying he thinks Palestinians and Jews have the right to self-determination and they wouldn't accept it as an answer. Makes you wonder what the question actually means!
All else aside this race is yet again proving that you can just say whatever about an Arab or a Muslim candidate and no one will demand that you apologize
This might be my favorite noise release of the last decade.

i don't believe anyone has "good-faith" concerns about trans women in sports in 2026. there's been too much time to hear the actual evidence, the actual people affected, and the role the debate plays in attempts to purge trans people from American life. anybody picking that side has made a choice
enough of this shit
His grandson, Louis Mosley, is now CEO of Palantir UK.
#OtD 29 Jul 1962 fascist Oswald Mosley tried to march with the Union Movement in Manchester, UK. However, he was attacked by anti-fascists and had to be rescued by police. A Mosley speech later was drowned out by a crowd of anti-fascists. More info: www.patreon.com/posts/e37b-6...
