🔥 Hot take: WebMCP fills a real, urgent, need. I’m not against it. It’s just …I can't help but notice that all WebMCP¹ tools are basically about making the app's user-facing data & actions explicit in a machine-readable way. The high-level use case is not new. [1/5] ¹ github.com/webmachinele...

This post from builder.io is very well written: "Everyone's Missing the Point of WebMCP" Though I don't see browser actuation as the only use case, the article is correct that WebMCP creates/helps with a new type of product experience. www.builder.io/blog/webmcp

Jason and his team are the cream of the crop. I can’t wait to watch this series, with faves like @kelseyhightower.com and @ashley.dev ! This goes beyond building an app, contestants build a full company. 💥

you might be able to build an app, but can you build a *product*? 8 teams start this competition hosted by @kelseyhightower.com, but only 7 advance to episode 2 presented by @awscloud.bsky.social, this is @codetv.dev's largest production yet premieres tomorrow: www.youtube.com/watch?v=8aHX...

I’m a developer but also a designer. And my degrees are in music and architecture. I don’t see any of that as being contradictory. It’s all expression, creativity, and problem solving… just through different lenses. Which are mostly constructs to make our practices easier to learn, teach and discuss

Quick reminder that right brained/left brained concepts are a myth. While hemispheres have different functions, your brain has plasticity and being good at STEM doesn’t mean you can’t be creative/artistic/musical or vice versa. Believing you can’t is the only limitation.

Some of you who know me from the OG days know I was pretty into SVG Animations… Well, @joshwcomeau.com who is a MASTER of all things animating made a new course! Whimsical animations! ✨ This isn’t an ad, I’m just a huge fan of his work. If you want to play and learn something new, check it out!

I think in the next few years, human communities and the value of the handmade in certain areas will become more important, not less We’ve actually seen this trend in art history play out a few times already -> highly mechanical gives way to the return of the “prestige of the handmade”
