Standards for any outlet's reporting on this: --Shouldn't get more prominent coverage than Susan Collins vote FOR, say, Kristi Noem --Should note high up she waited till Cornyn/Tillis came out in favor to say she's a 'no' --Should note she's voted for nearly every Trump 2.0 nominee #MEpolitics
Susan comes out against Todd Blanche now that he's got the votes. So tiresome. (We called it: tinyurl.com/3bepafkz) #MEpolitics
🧵 The Founders simply could not imagine men so uninterested in maintaining & exercising their own political power that they would allow other men - even those of their own party or faction - to steal their constitutional power in broad daylight & play out The Madness of King George.
Federalist 51: “ambition must be made to counteract ambition.” That made for a system of checks and balances that mostly worked. Until some politicians with ambition to overthrow the Constitution met up with politicians whose highest ambition is attention on social media and a pat on the head.

The same old Susan Collins charade. As soon as a controversial nominee or a bill has enough votes to pass, she announces she will vote no when it doesn’t matter. She never casts a deciding vote against Trump. Now she will claim this shows how she is so “independent.”
Stolen valor from Mr. Bone Spurs. An insult to every man and woman who has worn the uniform.

To the extent that the media is treating this as a horse story: Max Miller is not a some random candidate from Ohio. This is a picture of President Trump speaking at the wedding of Max Miller and Emily Moreno.

The story of how the LDS accepted Black people is incredible. IRS: "So you refuse to ordain Black people as bishops?" LDS: "Yes, it's god's will." IRS: "As a racially discriminatory organization, you are no longer tax exempt." LDS: "Hang on... you are NOT gonna believe who I just talked to."
There is no version of yourself you could become that would satisfy the people who hate you. So you might as well be who you are.

Lockdown people are so funny. They pull out their hair at the fact that schools were closed for five minutes, and then you ask them if they actually want to educate poor and minority children and they’re like of course not
I worked for New York’s largest medical center at the start of the pandemic. There were morgue trucks on the streets. They set up emergency medical tents in Central Park. Healthcare worker colleagues died. It is horrific that RFK Jr is on national TV lying that ICUs were empty.
If your grandpa kept sending you these as texts, you'd have an emergency family meeting.
Good to know after a tough weekend on the golf course the president is back at work laser focused on improving the lives of Americans by resuming his deranged AI marathon.
“The ICE agents that attacked me followed me by transport in one of their unmarked vehicles to the hospital, and then came into my room with me in a trauma unit while I was trying to be treated."
“The ICE agent behind me grabbed the back of my shirt and just threw me like a sack of trash”
People keep suing the agency for beating them up.

Please stop saying “lockdowns.” There were never true lockdowns in the US, and it fuels far right narratives to repeat this inaccurate statement. You can say closures, you can say restrictions, or better, you can say public health measures which saved many lives.
People still complain about “lockdowns” but we had none in the US. We had stay-at-home orders, where although businesses were closed, you could still go outside whenever you wanted. Other countries had far stricter rules, and yet have been much more accepting of them as they saved many more lives.
