You give a little love and it all comes back to you. You know you’re going to be remembered for the things that you say and do. (Fizzy - Bugsy Malone) LFC ❤️. (Norn) Irish ☘️

“The famine is over! The curse be damned!! Hit the nuclear button! Mayo have won the All-Ireland!!” An all-time great sports commentary moment from Stephen Grealis and Martin McHugh on Mayo’s Midwest Radio. #gaa

Sure, some men are jerks. Like the ‘influencer’ who carried a bath to the top of Snowdon for a selfie and dumped it there. But other men are heroes, like the teenage rugby team who carried it down. Well done lads. We see you. Show your sons. www.walesonline.co.uk/sport/rugby/...

China just got a heliostat plant – a concentrated solar power (CSP) station using a large field of computer-controlled mirrors, [heliostats], to reflect the sun on to a tall central tower – to power 170k homes a year and save 130k tons of CO2. The US is getting a ballroom.

In Event Horizon, Sam Neill requested that the Australian flag insignia on his character's uniform be altered and have the Union Jack removed and replaced with the Aboriginal flag, because that is how he imagined an Australian space uniform would look in 2047.

Currently in Belfast watching the kids of refugees and migrants help drag wood to the bonfire. Yesterday, I heard a woman in a hijab ask a white neighbour when it would be lit because she'd like to go. This is a complex place.

"We're not anti Catholic we just love protestantism and were founded to maintain Protestant ascendancy in Ireland as part of a war on Catholicism. It's uh heritage not hate. *wink*" The Times and the Orange Order

In a ‘look at these dapper young Orangemen! Aren’t they so handsome? Here’s an entire photo spread of young Orangemen marching!’ column in the Times, it begins with this strange passage about how they actually aren’t bigots, not really

A
surge in new young members has swelled the ranks of the Orange Order to more than 40,000 in Northern
Ireland, even as a senior member conceded that the organisation was "sectarian".
lain Carlisle, chief executive of the Grand Orange Lodge of Ireland, said that critics were correct to describe the 231-year-old institution in those terms because it existed for Protestants and excluded Catholics.
"It is sectarian, in the dictionary-definition sense of the word," he told The Sunday Times.
"We cater for one section of the community, and we do not cater for another. Therefore it is sectarian - [but] being pro-Protestant doesn't make the organisation anti-Catholic."

Warning/lesson for Iraola watching this Arg v Egy game in that MacAllister still seems to be keen to lose the ball unnecessarily in the opposition half and claim unwarranted free kicks. 🤷‍♂️

Lots of criticism for Trump (quite rightly) over the Balogan and US team intervention. But let’s not forget, or more importantly forgive, FIFA and Infantevil for taking something the world cherished #WorldCup and destroying 2026. World football, not FIFA, needs to act now to protect WC2030.

Donald Trump has no shame, but Folarin Balogun is a class act. He spoke to Belgian head coach, Rudi Garcia, after the match. Garcia said of Balogun "He came to talk to me. I really liked that. It is not his fault. He is not the one to blame. That's what I told him." H/T @resistrebelrevolt.net
