Watching BBC News and it's striking to hear the presenters repeatedly referring to the AfD as "far-right" whilst refusing to ever say the same about the hundreds of actual masked blackshirts currently swarming British ports

Nick Robinson on Today is literally talking about ‘legitimate concerns’ after second night of organised men dressed in black - sorry ‘protesters’ - mobilising en masse in another littoral town. This is how street fascism is normalised

“Reform will end ‘something for nothing’ Britain.” - Nigel Farage. He receives £98,599 a year as an MP, yet for more than three months this year he didn't cast a single parliamentary vote or make a single written contribution or speech in Parliament either. But yes, let’s shout at poor people

White professor ‘ MattGPT ‘ whose most recent book contained fabricated quotations, non-existent source references, & left ChatGPT URLs accidentally embedded in footnotes is sad about Jason Arday’s death but still wants Arday & all black academia held to higher standards than his own writing .

I heard Lee Anderson on Today saying that no one wanted to live next to an HMO housing people seeking asylum. As far as I can tell, my back garden abuts the back garden of a house that does indeed house asylum seekers, so I thought I'd give a brief account of why I am in fact fine about it.

I'll bet you these projects will never see a large chunk of that money. We pay for the system through our bills. Yet almost 1/3 of them go to returns for investors and creditors. We pay for the infrastructure, for the debt, for the profits. And they keep asking for more. We need public ownership.

I got this message from a mum of a boy who loves comics, on the same day I got a message from a dad who’s very ill son had his life transformed by reading comics. This stigma about comics really has to stop. It’s detrimental to children just as they’re learning how to express themselves.

Unfortunately, he has been told not to read or make comics because
"you can't learn anything from them" which annoyed him so much

Small Dorset Town stands up to racism. Local anger in Wimborne is through the roof. But nothing reported anywhere. Meanwhile - six flag waving idiots turns up outside a hotel in Epping and its front page news.

So I'm told a crowd of about 100 people turned up in Wimborne to protest against Katie Hopkins appearing there. Really impressive demo for such a small town showing the strength of feeling. Well done Wimborne.

No school should be on X or oblige parents to get updates from it. A site that actively promotes porn, bullying, hate and fascism is not an appropriate place to post pictures of sports days.

Lisa Nandy’s the latest high-profile departure from X: should schools leave the platform too? Here’s what the attorney general told @cerysturner.bsky.social in an exclusive interview: www.tes.com/magazine/new...

How conventient for political journalists, to all be gathered in Downing Street once more, so they can interview each other, to ask "how did this happen?", without ever acknowledging that, at least in part, they themselves are how this happened.

The attacks in Edinburgh, in which an armed bare-chested white man terrorised Muslims, leaving five people injured, don't feature on a single newspaper front page this morning. Two tier journalism
