It’s impossible to move the debate forward when one side is committed to upholding a disinformation-fueled, dehumanizing false reality that leads to the state-sanctioned street killings of innocent people. There are not two sides to this particular story. Full stop.
I think the saddest thing about the emerging dystopia is how crushingly predictable it is. Dirty orange skies and unbreathable air and corrupt, venal overlords and disposable media and barbed wire fences around minorities. Tacky and obvious. We were warned so much.

I don’t blame anyone for resenting Trump voters anytime he ran. Just remember: we need them. Alienating them pushes them back into the MAGA ecosystem. Everyone needs a place to call home. And a chance to repent.
One of my relatives voted for the Oval Office occupant in2024. He’s not a zealot. He voted for what he thought was his best interests. He spent 30 minutes yesterday talking about what a mistake he made. I only know how he voted because he told me. I didn’t ask. Lots of people want a correction.
