In a week of incendiary statements, this from Kevin Lamour, who at least for tonight remains FIFA COO, is incredibly damning in that it is from an insider that goes beyond this one scheme and is an assassination in a few hundred words of the FIFA president as a leader of global football.
The Sadie Sink reveal in the new Spider-Man was worth the price of admission. Not a full theater, but the audible gasp was awesome. The movie was fun and sweet and sad.
The most positive takeaway from this FIFA / private investment scandal? WE HAVE A VOICE. We are not powerless to stupid change dictated by — and serving — the power brokers of the global soccer and collective financial bottom lines. Well done to UEFA for being the first to step up.
