Right, I’m on a train for a bit and I’ve put Bluesky back on my phone so AMA (I fully believe no one replies to these, prove me wrong 😂)

god, remember when we were normal about films? Remember when you didn't have to have an opinion about every single thing? I went to the local cinema almost every week in the late 90s, had virtually zero opinions. Knew nothing going in, nothing coming out. A peaceful age.
when you buy a bottle of WD40 to fix a squeaky door, and then it works so magically you are annoyed there are no other squeaky things to use it on
To every trans Londoner: this city is yours too. Today we celebrate London Trans+ Pride and reaffirm a simple truth: you should be free to live as yourself, without fear or prejudice. You are loved. You are wanted. You belong here.
we have seen The Odyssey. My hot take is: RPatz seems happiest when playing a weaselly little worm.
writing speculative back cover copy for secret project 1 (I might have to explain this book to people soon, yikes) and have amused myself by coming up with a list of dubious tropes, including: Uh Oh I Think My Shadow Daddy is Problematic
I have a story in The Hopeless Romantic's Guide to Enchantment and at the moment you can preorder it from Waterstones with a whopping 25% off 😁
I think I’m done with graphics. Saw this and I’m convinced. I think it’s time to change careers.
One of our favourite traders needs your help! If you have the means, please consider helping out Monika and the wonderful Haunted Bookshop in Stokes Croft. Or if you live in Bristol, just go buy some books! www.crowdfunder.co.uk/p/save-the-h...
reposting the Ulysses 31 intro yesterday whilst editing secret project 1 has reminded me what a saturday morning cartoon book it is. My secret hope always is that someone at an animation studio will read one of my books and I get cartoons of my characters
I was just thinking about this earlier today 😍
More of this type of live action remake please.
Lovely artists of bluesky, I beg your advice ❤️ If I'm drawing something in procreate that I eventually want printed A1 size, what specifications do I need that canvas to be - is 300 dpi enough? (and I assume CMYK)

Ninth Rain was the first fantasy book I read in ages (went to horror and thriller for a few years) and I devoured it in a week! Beautiful writing and characters.
Oh my god. Google calendar have updated the colours you can assign to your events. I have wanted this for years. 😭
You might need this little soapstone carving of a whale today… (1200-1600 CE, Chumash culture, California, held at Musée des Beaux Arts, Montreal)
I've never quite forgiven Netflix for cancelling Marco Polo and the Dark Crystal series. I grew up with telly that was allowed to be a bit wobbly or crap for a couple of seasons, so it could find it's feet. Marco Polo and the Dark Crystal were excellent from the start, and it didn't save them.
Netflix is struggling with keeping viewers "hooked" because it keeps canceling shows after 1 season so no one trusts a Netflix show to last. Its that simple, regardless of whatever their bullshit internal analytics are informing them.
we actually watched the football last night and something in my bones decided that I was supporting Norway, so at around midnight I found myself saying 'I don't think you can disallow a goal just because a blonde giant pushed someone' which is probably why I don't do sport
Posting this again to remind you you dont have to be an amazing artist to draw comics!
I keep thinking about this Alex Ross painting of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen that is, for some reason, also the cast of 30 Rock
had to walk to the delivery office (my wedding shoes are in a pile of 400 undelivered parcels but the postie was very sweet about it) and it is already too fucking hot out there. Cannot wait for this weather to fuckkkk offffffff
if there is one fantasy writing rule we must all follow, it's referring to money as 'coin'
