This. I had a Surface Pro(lovely keyboard) with an Intel core M3, in 2018 it is was really slow. Last week I installed Ubuntu and it is blazing fast with VS Code, Zed and several tasks in terminal running. App support is surprisingly good.

Please read this blog post if you're a maintainer. It isn't about protecting yourself, but protecting us. We have already pushed most of our calls to Signal (and kept community, ecosystem calls in Discord). The axios incident confirms this path. We can't be installing new software to have calls.
