(He/Him) Human Paperweight. Compassion will be key in the harsh days ahead. We're all we got.

Democrats. The "lesser evil" you excuse today never washes off of your brand. The genocide, the transphobia. That's you now. We begged you not to do it. You did it anyway. Whether you win or lose, regardless of how evil the GOP is, it's on your permanent record. And you did it 100% to yourself.

People are discussing how Halloween candy is so terrible these days. A reminder that alot of the candy we eat is made with women’s prison labor. Russell Stover’s factory in Kansas busses in 150 women a day via a convict leasing program to staff their candy factory.

A Russell Stover candy factory in Kansas has begun hiring incarcerated workers through a work release program, Eoin Higgins reports in his newsletter, The Flashpoint. About 150 women are bussed in from the Topeka Correctional Facility and paid $14 an hour, but the prison keeps some of their wages for room and board, taxes, transportation, and other expenses. When all is said and done, they take home less than $6 per hour. These deductions are high, but elsewhere in the country, they're even higher: In our May series on prison

Dems are going to spend the next 2 years impotently trying to prove they won the midterms while Trump finalizes perma-reign of the GOP's forever regime. And Dems will continue to vote shame out of reflex.

Every generation thinks their midlife crisis is somehow more unique and personally significant than what previous generations experienced. Cope disguised as hope never changes.

A party that sells itself as "less worse" has no future. A party that forbids its base from demanding a hopeful future is a dead party. Any society that party controls is doomed to collapse.

A map of the United States that shows immigration arrests per 100,000 people since ICE's new enforcement strategy began under DHS secretary Markwayne Mullin.

Media will write an article about Medicaid cuts that affect disabled people and put it behind a paywall. Truly evil to be like: The government might kill you soon but we're too greedy to let your impoverished as know the details.
