She's really starting to remind me of Anthony Weiner; a backbench Democrat representative who built an aggressive media personality into a national following and then completely fell apart when exposed to scrutiny, due to being an overweening narcissist without any deeper loyalties.
(friendly quote post) AIPAC does style itself as "bipartisan" and has since its ascent as a lobby on Capitol Hill in the 1970s, but since 2022 when they began directly spending on elections, they have disproportionately endorsed Republicans while spending almost exclusively on Democrats primaries.

Yeah I think this is the one thing sticking with me too. If you’re gonna go nuclear in the primaries and call the guy an antisemite, then what does it mean when you cheerfully endorse him? Were you lying then, or are you cool with endorsing an antisemite now?

We should discourage lying to inflame tensions against two targeted religious minorities for personal political gain imo

An actually underrated potential positive for Dems in light of Abdul’s victory is that it gives traditionally centrist or otherwise poor Dems on Palestine on an easy out for polarizing against AIPAC and pro-Israel politics— they’re trying to cost Dems the Senate.
I repeat once again that uncommitted did everything right and you better learn how to respect the people involved because they're gonna keep doing everything right and moving up in the party.

Abbas was endorsed by both Bernie Sanders and Gretchen Whitmer. Abbas Alawieh also privately met with former VP Kamala Harris last month upon her request.
This has to be the most deranged press tour in the history of modern media. I honestly can’t think of anything else like it.

Congratulations @abdulelsayed.bsky.social! Outspent 11 to 1, Abdul proved that people-powered campaigns can still beat big money. Michiganders chose hope over fear, and a future rooted in dignity, justice, and opportunity.
For the sake of Democratic Party cohesion, it should become conventional wisdom sooner rather than later that AIPAC is in the general sense little more than a Republican donor front.

They advocate for policies the vast majority of Democrats viscerally disagree with. No Democrat should be taking money from AIPAC.
