I love #iHunt, one of my favourite games. I’m about to start a new campaign. Just really fun and smart
It's my birthday. If you've ever engaged with my art and had a good experience, I'd love to hear about it.

Raoul Vaneigem—Situationist, author, and lifelong aspiring revolutionary—has passed away at the age of 92. "Let ten people meet who are resolved on the lightning of violence rather than the long agony of survival; from this moment, despair ends and tactics begin." —The Revolution of Everyday Life
RIP Raoul Vaneigem 😪. "Les stupides résurgences du nationalisme et des religions ne sont que l'écume dérisoire du vrai danger : l'acquiescement suicidaire au sort qui nous est fait et par lequel une économie en dépérissement nous enjoint de dépérir avec elle." (1996) Toujours d'actualité.

Spontaneous standing ovation for the I Want It That Way scene from the ten or so audience members at an afternoon screening of Magic Mike XXL
Got me thinking.. What's the strongest reaction you've seen an audience member have to a scene in a cinema? During the birthday party scene in SIGNS I saw a whole row of young women literally throw their popcorn in the air like a cartoon.
Didn't realize that Dr. Bronner's soap was cool like that, but I'll take it
JKR and her new org apparently helped get the new Amnesty International report on how TERF organizations destroy lives taken down from their site. Well, guess what? The Streisand Effect is real. Here's the entire report in a thread. Read it. Share it.
Amnesty International put out a major report documenting the influence of UK based anti trans gender critical organizations and their funding. Within hours, GC groups threatened defamation lawsuits and Amnesty was forced to pull it down. Proving the point they're anti rights. Anyways, here it is.
Still remember arguing endlessly w my housemate Jim about whether this or Crazy In Love was the best song of summer 2003
#TheN0ughtie5 Day 38 13. LUMIDEE - “Never Leave You (Uh-Oooh, Uh-Oooh)” (03, US) Can’t have a 00s list without the Diwali Riddim! This is still the platonic summer jam - toss-up between the original’s perfect monotony and the remix with Busta Rhymes and Fabulous youtu.be/QhKj93rPIDo?...
Annoyed that I've been waiting on a specialist booking to remove my wisdom teeth, and now it's scheduled in the middle of MIFF. Wondering how many days of recovery it'll take before I'm ready for a Bela Tarr protege or an experimental doco about bridges miff.com.au/program/film...

RPG folks: Sera is a voracious player and reader of games, with strong, smart opinions and a heroically open mind. I can’t imagine a better Ennies judge

Divine didn’t eat a real dog turd so you could term me that AI is “inevitable”
Sam Raimi didn't strap a Super 8 camera to a 2x4 so you could tell me that AI is "inevitable."
Really like the blank, dead-eyed quality of my expression in this photo
I thought I would be so into an account just posting quotes from movie I love, and yet
Okay.
The new McCarthyist era of the Australian press has completely hamstrung its ability to react to Hanson. The Gaza war and journalists' inability to hold their organisations to journalistic principles since 2023 cost newsrooms the lived experience and perspectives needed by silencing the oppressed.
We can't do this thing again where we make racism an argument between white people. First Nations, people of colour, people from migrant backgrounds must be given space to lead & question, and must feel safe to do so. We've failed again and again on this, and it's a huge part of why Hanson is back.
I genuinely think peanut butter is the most disgusting substance in the world
What’s the most widely enjoyed food that you can’t stand, not because of allergies or anything but just because you hate it?
I don’t understand how I got invested in this when I’ve literally never seen a basketball game, but go Knicks!
Harpo Marx spoke at his final public performance in 1964. And 60 years later, the tape was found. If you've been a Marx Bros. fan your whole life, as I have, hearing Harpo speak is extraordinarily powerful. www.wshu.org/arts-culture... #FilmSky
Recently recovered recording features voice of Harpo Marx, the 'silent' Marx brother
Harpo Marx -- the "silent" Marx brother -- can finally be heard speaking in a live album of recently recovered material, which was recorded just six months before he died in 1964.

We've been quiet but busy. Last year we heard that a rich backer had bought the NSN a compound and set about finding where it was. This story we worked on with Sherryn Groch is the result of that investigation. www.theage.com.au/national/ric... (now unpaywalled)

Samuel Delaney's review of the original Star Wars:
Such a vile combination of union busting and transphobia from WotC
So after openly deadnaming all our trans folks last week, leadership apologized, but then did not update employee's names for the vote today. This means our trans employees are being forced to openly deadname themselves in order to vote in today's union election. This is deeply fucked.
