We are told to ignore the racism of Hegel, Kant, Locke etc because they were just "men of their time". So what do we do with the racism of current academics? Are they too just "men of their time"? What is this "time" that seems to make racists of men?

It's weird to realize that my disability is not the result of having cancer, but is directly the result of cancer treatment. No thought was ever given by my medical team as to what my life would be like when I survived (outlook was always good for me). /rant
