"If they turned off the thieving lying environment destroyer that you've never used and that you have massive moral objections to tomorrow, how would you cope?" Cope? I'd celebrate
I have one answer.

Absolutely the case. Transitioning (GAC generally) has the lowest regret rate of any treatments. The second lowest is abortion. Yes, these treatments have lower regret rates than heart surgery and cancer treatments, and significantly lower rates (0.5 - 2%) than hip and knee replacements (15-20%).
"What if I regret transitioning?" "While that's a valid fear, the stats are such that it's far more likely the only thing you'll actually regret after transitioning is that you waited so long to do it. And that's valid, too."
@pwallinga.bsky.social Does this fit the Sentence™ criteria? It feels instinctively like it might be an edge case...
We were in the sex panel and there was a tornado so we had to move across the hall to the improv panel.

When the mesh is so fine, but the grids don't align, that's a moiré.
Not out of the question that a lot of media and business leaders *are themselves Nazis* and that this explains the reluctance...
We still have the cultural image that actual Nazis were defeated in the 1940's, and the remaining Nazis are either unemployed basement-dwellers or fringe militias in Idaho. There is still a reluctance by media and business leaders to say openly that the world's wealthiest person is a Nazi.
FWIW, Meta was fully aware of how these glasses would primarily be used. The glasses were designed to erase consent, and that is why they exist. Anything that they do that suggests they want to ameliorate this use is an attempt to win the PR battle and manipulate public opinion.
Meta Desperately Trying to Ban Creeps Misusing Its AI "Pervert Glasses"
Meta is vowing to crack down on creeps misusing its Ray Ban smart glasses. Whether it will be enough to regain trust remains to be seen.

The world would be a better place with more bookstores, bakeries, greenhouses, libraries, gargoyles, cat rescues, museums, and Oxford commas.
For Disability Pride Month, please consider changing your setting to remind you to use Alt text
I see people saying “I would use alt text but I keep forgetting!” Thankfully, @bsky.app has a setting for that. - Go to Settings - Then Accessibility - Toggle “Require alt text before posting” to the active setting. Now Bluesky will remind you to add alt text to all of your posts.

Yesterday the US Administration supercharged its explicit effort to bar international students from staying in the US after graduation. All Americans should know: 1/3 of *all* STEM PhDs working in the US are immigrants who graduated from US universities, then stayed. www.piie.com/index%2Ephp/...
Hey everyone, Google is trying to turn YouTube into a social network. If you post a link (especially if you don't get rid of tracking), it will display your YouTube account and name when it's opened. I don't want that, and you probably don't. Turn this shit off!
I have just completed this - basically the general public should not be allowed to buy fireworks at all If we must have them, they should be restricted to organised displays safely managed by professionals
We get a month of fireworks in November around us. It's miserable. www.gov.uk/government/c...
“Your horror has been stolen from you” is a 10/10 sentence.
You can and should point out that police killing people daily is the "norm" in America. But that doesn't mean you *accept* the normalization of this violence and the way some people rush to smugly point these things out contributes to collective fatigue. Your horror has been stolen from you.
Hooty International Non-Binary People's Day! Have a throwback. It has ALWAYS been used singular as well as plural. Caring about "grammar" is not only a bad excuse, but a very incorrect one. You've used it your whole life as well as pronouns in general. #NonBinaryAwarenessWeek #NonBinaryPeoplesDay

Scoop: Andy Burnham will vote FOR Shabana Mahmood's immigration crackdown in the Commons tonight. Dozens of Labour MPs had written to him urging him to water down the Immigration and Asylum Bill, warning the party is “losing progressive voters”. Story 👇 www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/andy-b...
Just an FYI for people using pronoun labelers. I just switched to @pronounsinb.io due to concerns in this thread.
I was @ripperoni.com's girlfriend for 4 and 1/2 years. In June 2022, I attempted suicide. My mental health collapsed, and I desperately needed rehabilitation, but (In-person) Ripperoni became my sole caretaker. I was a blank slate to be molded, unmoving and spiraling for most of the day.
Yeh when people ask when FIFA jumped the shark, it was Qatar. So many slaves died to make those graves of sins. It shouldn’t have gone ahead and many people boycotted it. The corruption here is small fry but also so obvious as to make it impossible not to take the mick
The most surreal part of the last 24 hours wrt the Balogun scandal is the number of Americans who think the 2022 World Cup in Qatar was viewed as completely uncontroversial by Europeans. Guys, I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the biggest and most discussed story in football for over a decade
THE US HAVING A WHITES-ONLY REFUGEE POLICY SHOULD BE A MUCH BIGGER STORY
BREAKING: in June 2026, *every single one* of the 1,062 refugees admitted in the U.S. were white South Africans. In FY 2026, the U.S. has admitted a total of 7,727 white South Africans, three Afghans (back in November), and nobody else. For reference, the U.S. admitted 100,060 refugees in 2024.
