Every problem has a simple solution when you're stupid

When the tribunals begin Mark Zuckerberg needs to be tried on a number of charges and one of the lesser ones is training older people on Facebook to think they can comment on anything by anyone on other social media in an overly familiar prescriptive way

uncommitted withheld their votes for specific and well-founded policy reasons ultimately revealed to have been morally and technically correct. stevens voters are going to withhold their votes out of spite and gutter racism

I feel like the world is a difficult place if you're grasp of it is gated by "if I can't understand it, it can't be true. And I'm not going to make any effort to understand it"

It's very funny to me that "email jobs" is the thing people think will be replaced by AI. That job is all about managing human foibles and using a mix of guilt, threats, authority, politeness, and personal charisma to get work done. All directly crafted for that unique individual. It's terrible work

The difference is not "act in your own self-interest" vs "act in the best interest of the community". It's "your self interests are best served by acting in the best interest of the community"

When it comes to music production I've always been a "tools don't matter, only results" guy. If you use pro tools and auto tune or melodyne to make great music, then great. AI music is different though, because it's automated plagiarism. Literally all music you make will be derivative

the richest guy in the world could be building a top-flight studio in space to record the effects of weightlessness on rock, but he isn't, because he's the sort of jackass who puts a car in space instead of a piano. and a leslie rotating speaker, that thing probably gets all squirrelly up there
