I know that there is a vacuum of SINNERS hype right now (which I’m personally a part of) but don’t let it drown out how great THE SHROUDS is. It’s easily one of Cronenberg’s best and is a must see if it’s playing near you. I saw it on a big screen a few months ago and can’t wait to see it again.

Cslmn@rapsacnomlas.bsky.social · last yr.Some thoughts on Alain Guiraudie's MISERICORDIA, which is currently out in (a handful of) UK cinemas, and which I've been thinking about a lot since I saw it yesterday. I think it is probably a masterpiece, and Guiraudie one of the great filmmakers - but it is a perversely slight & obstinate film.
