THERE IS SOMETHING GOING ON HERE THAT WE CANNOT EXPLAIN. The economy is not in a recession. The economy is not worse than 2020 or 2008 or 1979. Whatever is happening here, it cannot be plausibly attributed to people’s real lived experiences. There is some other factor causing this collapse.

I highly encourage them to follow through on what will definitely be a very popular policy. There’s no way this could frustrate their own voters at all. GOP voters never use these airports.

When I lived in Korea ~15 years ago, the norm if you got delivery was for the food to be delivered on proper plates / bowls, which when you were done you would put outside your apartment to be picked up by the delivery driver. I recently found out that is no longer the case, very disappointing.

If states respond as they have for decades — with massive capital plans designed to meet just 50 hours of peak load — customers will end up paying more to subsidize an underutilized grid. The smartest near-term path is to squeeze more value out of the system we already have.

We can’t do this in the US because we prioritize expensive jobs for favored groups over cheap energy.
