No, the real threat, according to these supposed geniuses, is that in ten years AI could break free from its human developers and decide it wants to kill humanity. If you’re big into science fiction, you might recognize that kind of a narrative: whether HAL 9000 in 2001: A Space Odyssey or The Terminator himself, this notion that our technology will come for us makes for compelling entertainment.

For more than a decade, people in the tech industry have been slowly deluding themselves into thinking those science fictional storylines were far closer to being realized than they are in practice. They think our future is one where we need to merge with computers, cover the face of the planet with data centers, and eventually start building them on other planets to fill with digital “people.”

Es ist eine bekannte Tatsache, dass Frauen nicht gern einen Partner wollen, der kleiner ist als sie. In einem politisch korrekten Umfeld geben Frauen an, dass die Größe nicht so wichtig sei, aber die Partnerwahl läuft dann ganz anders.
Da die Umwelt also auf meine Eigenschaften reagiert, sind selbst die Eigenschaften, die nicht den Kern meiner Persönlichkeit betreffen, trotzdem persönlichkeitsprägend. Denn sie bewirken Reaktionen der Umwelt. Nehmen Sie ein sehr hübsches und ein sehr unscheinbares Mädchen. Wenn beide älter werden, ist die Reaktion des männlichen Geschlechts auf das hübsche Mädchen ganz anders als die auf das unscheinbare. Selbst wenn sie die absolut gleiche Persönlichkeit hätten, entwickeln sie dadurch andere Eigenschaften und Verhaltensweisen. Es gibt immer eine Wechselwirkung.
Das trifft, denke ich, absolut zu. Stellen Sie sich vor: Ein schwarzes Kind und ein weißes Kind mit den absolut gleichen Persönlichkeiten und IQs kommen in die erste Klasse. Das schwarze Kind wird von den Lehrern anders behandelt, es sieht im Fernsehen und in Büchern andere Vorbilder oder gar keine, es wird auch von den anderen Kindern anders behandelt als das weiße Kind. Und dadurch wird seine schulische Leistung dann schlechter ausfallen. Wegen der Reaktion seiner Umwelt.
Das wäre ein sehr schlechter Lehrer, wenn er Kinder je nach ihrer Hautfarbe unterschiedlich behandeln würde. Regulatory context
Thiel's remarks came against the backdrop of genuine tension between Anthropic and the Trump administration. In March 2026, the Pentagon designated Anthropic a
"supply chain risk," a label typically reserved for firms tied to foreign adversaries, after talks broke down over Anthropic's refusal to let Claude be used for mass surveillance of U.S. citizens or autonomous weapons; Anthropic sued in federal court to reverse the designation.
CEO Dario Amodei has also previously compared Trump's use of power to that of a "feudal warlord," in remarks that predate the company's subsequent national-security contracting work.
