she/her | transsexual episcopal priest | az | 'but thou art the same Lord whose property is always to have mercy'

I am theologically committed to a preferential option for the poor, so I very much affirm the centering of the ways the Meta glasses can harm children and I also, as an adult woman, do not want to be subjected to constant recorded surveillance. I do not want to be fodder for someone's Content.

It is not a great look that some senior Democratic leaders have had time to put out statements on social media about how much they'll miss Lindsey Graham but haven't had time to talk about these latest executions carried out by Trump's gestapo in American streets.

OH MY GOD GUYS okay so priests who want back in have to find a bishop willing to vouch for them, swear fealty to Vatican II and then HAND-WRITE THE POPE AN APOLOGY LETTER (I gues so he knows they didn’t use AI? 😂) and are on probation for 1-3 years this is ten times spicier than I even thought

Reconciliation for priests
The procedure set out by the Dicastery for the Doctrine of the Faith, beginning on July 1, 2026, provides that a priest who has decided to leave the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X - and who is willing to accept the Second Vatican Council and the legitimacy of the Novus Ordo Missae, while remaining attached to the ancient rite - must "find an Ordinary - a diocesan Bishop, a Major Superior of clerical religious institutes of pontifical right or of clerical societies of apostolic life of pontifical right, etc. - willing to receive him ad experimentum."

The priest must then "write by hand a letter to the Holy Father in which he presents himself and asks for the remission of the censures incurred because of the ordination he received from an excommunicated or irregular Bishop, or because, having been validly and legitimately ordained, he subsequently became a member of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Pius X."

Lots to unpack here. 1: Leo isn't being as stern as I expected; he's being moreso. 2: He was ready for this. The subtext of his Jun 29 letter saying, "you can still walk away" is validated. Priests who wish to be reconciled must renounce Lefebvrism and probation www.vaticannews.va/en/vatican-c...

The ACoC’s trial liturgy for MAiD is starkly and rankly evil. Pure surrender to the secular world and the violent baal and moloch worship that it engages in. It is actually sick. ⚓️ This is the state of the North American mainline. This is what we must rebel against.

an unexpected occasion of mercy is cause for joy and reflection. people sometimes like to detail, in response, the gruesome crimes of people the state seeks to execute, but it doesn't matter what anyone did: state sanctioned execution is barbaric, no less so than any crime it seeks to punish.

Every time data centers are brought up, I'm reminded of a recent meeting I had with a person working in that sector who mentioned how important power demand modeling was, because they projected if the grid were to go down in Phoenix during peak summer, 30,000 people would die in the first 24 hours

"...that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have power to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge..."

One reason I hate death penalty cases is that capital punishment is incredibly stupid and irrational. It's cruel, expensive, and serves no deterrent effect. It's rarely imposed, except against a tiny minority of unlucky defendants—and in those cases, racism almost always plays a role. Just end it.

My spouse and I inherited this very cute black kitten (named Lupe, after Our Lady of Guadalupe) when we moved into the rectory of my parish, and she has taken to hiding around the corner to 'scare' me every time she can by jumping on my ankle and giving me kisses.

If you wanna ascribe ai a personhood its that of a demon spirit, it can pretend to be human but it is not and you can never understand it and it will say and do things harmful to you that are perfectly normal to it cause it is an alien entity pretending at humanity to lure you in

But it is tho…chatting with ai should be considered like chatting with a malevolent demon that may seem like it can help you but you can never trust it and it may well drive you into madness
