That this is being said of the person who has done so much groundwork for Xrd, Rev2sday, the AFGC and really his community as a whole is a little upsetting. Success can be commended and respected but it is not 1:1 with innovation or even interesting ideas in a space/medium
Pat Stares At BASTION@patstaresat.bsky.social · 2w agoThis dichotomy seems to boil down to this, that every fighting game in the space that's doing well is sauceless. Personally I've of the opinion that someone who actively dislikes every successful game in a genre maybe should *not* be behind the wheel of any creative decisions leading into one.
