I think this is a great counterexample to the recent discourse on here about other candidates' support for trans rights, in that it's a very good example of a Democrat who *does* have noxious views on the subject and is clearly OK with saying them.

This is bad and should be called out. I push back against accusing everyone that breathes for wanting to throw us under the bus, so it is credible when we call it out when it unambiguously occurs. This is an unambiguous occurrence.

Can’t wait for the Lessons Learned or Near Miss report out of this one tbh. Rotor wing aircraft are sins against God’s Justice and Nature so I’m sympathetic to needing to put the thing on the ground wherever you can safely. It’s all the other stuff.

My Jewish friends are all pretty freaked out and have been for a while, watching what’s happening. How normalized open antisemitism has become. I just want to say that I’m not Jewish, but I’ll do my best to have your back. I’ll always try to be a safe person.

It will never cease to amaze me that we regularly have these terrifyingly destructive storms caught on camera demolishing entire houses, and because of the amazing work of the NWS, we have death counts in the single digits, if any at all. Just an amazing modern innovation.

It is, in fact, not 2025.

"America was always evil" is a logical and rhetorical dead end. it concedes everything to our opponents. it allows them to take the mantle of our nation - and let's be frank here, most Americans want to believe in America. our history is the Trail of Tears, yes. it is also the March for Freedom.

Look for the helpers. Faced with evil, watch for the decent people standing against it.

So of course NOAA and the NWS are listed by name as being on the chopping block for Project 2025. To be eliminated and stripped for parts. Because they have the audacity to report that yes, climate change is a thing and is happening, because we can observe it.

Vote. Also knock on doors, volunteer for campaingns. Get involved locally. Go to meetings, work with others, make your own community safer, better, more organized. Know what's on school board agendas. Show up and comment. Give politicians a reason to know what you want, and why they should care.
