Yes, I think I dimly recall him saying that. Maybe that's why I'm weirded out by the freakout this one really motivated human seems to be having. Nothing I've heard about is out of character for Astarion

I haven't got my copy yet and I'm not addressing complete wackadoodle fangirls (and boys and nb pals), but I think some "canon-compliance critics" of the forthcoming @tkingfisher.com Astarion book are missing that there IS a scene where he says he tried to enjoy the exploitation (It didn't last.)

I barely know who the character is, and even I can tell the guy is gayer than all of springtime in an afternoon.
