A night away from #Belfast Groomsport💰how the other half live Pub lunch, a walk, and another walk tomorrow along the coast🐚 Sun is shining, an ice-cream van is calling and there's no one here 💚 The first boat left here for America in 1636, religious persecution no surprise there, it didn't make it

#DublinMarathon training done 2 week super easy taper ahead Wasn't happy with the block, got very scrappy with lots of missed sessions I did the bare minimum needed Averaged 90km a week #Running with yoga, spin class and 2x strength sessions Predictions Garmin 2'48 Running Dashboard 2'58 Me 3'05

Garmin prediction, biased I think because of my low heart rate

So tomorrow, first day off work in, checks notes, 12 days, phew I've had a chest infection, sore hip, weirdly waking up at 4am every day kinda thing going on Also did marathon training whilst doing two jobs and caring for someone more ill than me And feeding the teenager I'm going for a long run

Driving home tonight , bluest of skies and a 🌈
It was gone, I couldn't catch it

I love all types of #Running but track is kinda boring to do in training 10x 800 with 75 sec recovery A pre #Dublin #Marathon session to stimulate leg turnover. I only have two more runs before the taper starts on Monday. I'm fit, but it hasn't been a great block, too many meh🤷 days 🩼 #Belfast

The world is on fire and the largest fresh water lake on these islands (and the largest lake in Ireland) is being used as a dumping ground for toxic shite so that a few people can make a lot of money. Lough Neagh is dying and no one is lifting a finger to stop this ecological disaster.

Due to involvement of paramilitaries in pogroms while the PSNI pretended otherwise, firefighters had to liaise with their leaders for permission to put out fires. “Firefighters had no doubt about paramilitary influence and sought permission from their leaders before tackling blazes, sources said.”

The night Belfast burned: how the Northern Ireland race riots unfolded

A stabbing in June sparked another summer’s night of racial violence, stoked by loyalist groups. How did the unrest erupt – and why do many fear it will happen again?

I'm not even sure whose confession this is, but my 20 y/o daughter has just had a date so boring that not only is he not getting a second chance, but her mate has chucked her boyfriend for setting it up in the first place.

I was buying my mum a house plant recently and commented to the woman at the till 'how did house plants survive before there were houses?' She looked at me like I was an absolute idiot and said, 'they are native to warmer countries'. I'm 54.

Took the teen to the Ulster Academy Annual Exhibition of Art at the Museum. Of course i had to bribe him to go, he got an all day breakfast, i got a very nice print. Had another look at the Okihiko Okamura Memories exhibit, its worth seeing if your in #Belfast

art exhibition, and irish history book and postertoo much fried food, a teenagers dreamBild

Some parts of #Belfast you just don't go to, for lots of reasons. First time for me yday going to Carnmoney hill. Fairy trees, farmhouse ruins and open sky, not a soul around. Perfect With the right kind of eyes you can almost see

Irish fairy tree, set in farmhouse ruins on a hill overlooking North Belfast , with views for miles of Cavehill, Belfast lough , and sightlines to the Mourne mountains

Went to a meeting tonight with local politicians about spending a fund, walked in, they had little groups of chairs and a picture of a tree with 'the idea tree' written above it. Never left a meeting so fast #Belfast

@eops.bsky.social really enjoyed the last electronic workshop, usually I dip in and out of things, because let's face it, there's too much good music, but I was on a long long train journey and kept it on. Reminded me of what I liked about acid house back when, a real raw energy. Thanks

So Mandelson’s close and deep relationship with Epstein gets him sacked while Trump’s close and deep relationship with Epstein gets him the rare honour of a second State visit to Britain?
