Clean indoor air is helpful against disease all the time, not just episodicly "in a pandemic". We treat drinking water *all the time*, not just during cholera outbreaks. Until we get over this medical/reactive mindset, airborne pandemics will continue. Put engineers in charge of public health!

Millions will lose access to healthcare if work requirements become required for Medicaid. As a Medicaid recipient, I am terrified I will lose my health insurance. They already tried this in my state years ago and so many people were going to lose coverage that they got rid of the requirements.

Members of Congress are pushing a policy that would make it harder for people to access the life-saving benefits of Medicaid. Our leaders should be making it easier for us to lead healthy lives, not harder.

The bad air quality, heat waves, & the spread of multiple infectious diseases all disproportionately impact disabled people. And all three of them can also make you disabled. Health is political, whether you want it to be or not. Please wear a mask if you're able to and stay safe.

very weird seeing some women speculate that at the heart of misogyny is some kind of latent homosexuality. i'm sorry but like you have to come to terms with the fact that some categorically hetero men truly emphatically subscribe to the idea that violence against women is the natural order of things

She also famously downplays recommendations against drinking while pregnant, and will tell people in power anything they want to, as long as she gets visibility and money out of it. The pandemic has pushed out a lot of these types of people, but Oster is a particularly repellent example.
