I enjoyed all three series of Ted Lasso... not equally, but I did like all three... that might be my hottest take on this website?
why isn’t the future the way we thought it would be
Let me puzzle out your mysteries. Don't be afraid to leave things mysterious. Not every question needs an answer. Ambiguity is cool! The novel is a project between author and reader, and the more I am trusted as a reader, the greater respect I give the author.
If enough people react or reply to this, I'll go back to making a vaguely strategic game with a 'theme' of magical battles. Tiles and cards and fancy meeples. AMA
I understand why estate agents don't mention this kind of thing, but it does make every house description a potential minefield. ( not quite literally, but some I've seen have been close )
IM GOING TO BOOK A VIEWING. It’ll go for wayyyyy over bc of the area (easily 200, I think) but I just want to see! A lifetime of fascination with this building. Also i note they aren’t discussing the fact they’re currently building houses basically opposite which will obscure the light.
I wonder if there's a counter to this, by reassuring younger people that they'll develop these features in time, and just to be patient - rather than portraying age as something to be fixed...
favorite thing about being a woman in the age of algorithms: marketers coin names for everything they want us to think is wrong with our bodies so they get lodged in our minds until we think we need to buy things to fix them Shallow-top breasts Marionette lines Nasolabial folds Turkey neck Tech neck
On the aeroplane crash supposedly caused by American military interference. I don't know Colleen but they have strong "knows what they're on about" vibes 🙂
And now it's up to 5,000+ likes. SIGH. That second paragraph is ridiculous. The GPS being unavailable was in a NOTAM which they would have gotten on the ground. They were unable to hold an altitude which has nothing to do with GPS. All pilots must fly & land without GPS. If you can't, do not fly.
I'll tell you something, which won't immediately seem related to Revolver. When I was 16, I still hadn't caught the bus into town on my own. Scared of the interaction with the driver - what if it goes wrong? What if I forget what the coins mean? & everyone on the bus is basically your audience.
Happy sixtieth birthday, Revolver x There are so, so many good things I could say about this album, but today I'm just going to say: I really love how Klaus Voorman drew Paul McCartney's ear.
If you’re working with your Meta pervert glasses on, don’t forget that looking at passwords shares them with Meta. I know the immediate solution is to use a password manager, and I’ll never not recommend that, but how about not wearing your pervert glasses?
Soooo yeah. This is Paperclip stuff. Von Neumann mendacity. Super.

Here’s the latest stop motion animation from my Tiny Angry Witch team. (I’m the writer, I can’t take credit for the animating!) It’s one of our longest, and it nearly drove us all mad, but we’re really proud of getting it made! 1 x Tiny Angry Witch 1 x broom No AI
The UK's police legal database PNLD has confirmed a data breach. Names & work emails of police officers and justice staff have been published on the dark web. The NCA is investigating. #cybersecurity ... https://verisizintisi.com/en/blog/2026-08-04-pnld-confirms-data-breach-affecting-uk-police
I'm sure that when Channel 4 commissioned their new documentary 'The Great ADHD Myth?' they found someone with a lack of bias and a background in showing both sides of the... oh.
Do people not know that they can start a blog and publish their writing online?
oh please let's play this, I miss these things!

Another idea I've formally decided to shelve... TATATM, an anti-algorithm resource. I've blogged more details here: blog.sonofsuntzu.org.uk/posts/deadpr... Was I right to decide against pursuing this? ( And are there other recommended sites along the same lines already? )
Watching Masters of the Universe How did they make a film so bad? How? With that cast? It's so bad.
For divisionbell I find it more interesting to see how my guesses line up with others than the actual outcomes: 𝐖𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐥 𝐡𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦 𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐔𝐊-𝐰𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐯𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐥 𝐛𝐲 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐧𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭? 🤔 How would you vote? 🔒 Vote anonymously at divisionbell.uk

fascists will be like The Noble Wisdom of our Ancient Past but then you'll open an actual book and the noble wisdom will be "snakes flee at the sound of the mandolin because they have no spleen, the organ of lust" and "electrum makes you gay"
I am genuinely ASTONISHED at the number of mainstream ‘normal’ journos fawning about Rod Liddle. Just cos someone is nice to YOU or can string a decent sentence together doesn’t excuse their revolting / irresponsible behaviour. Such a terrible look. This is good tho
NEW | A corrective to the gushing tributes… LIDDLE TO BE CELEBRATED An honest obituary for Rod Liddle, dead at 66, dead inside for many years before that. brokenbottleboy.substack.com/p/liddle-to-...
#Qubes project: I have just discovered that Bottles exists. This apparently means I can just run software intended for Windows if I need to. Next up: is there a Mac equivalent? I’m enjoying the Linux ecosystem but a few transplants would make my life that much easier.
Good point here about sports by the way, AFAICT....
Nilay Patel presses him again a bit later, and Schneider is even careful to say he doesn't want to "break" the current brand. He makes a point of complimenting the current users (us). I don't want to go overboard praising him, but none of this sounds to me like he's selling us out.
With all due respect to "jw" I've no idea this is true... but it feels more likely than hot responses to an edited clip from a media organisation ... let's see what narrative thrives on here... ;)
If you read the transcript, it's pretty clear the Verge is using this clip as ragebait and that Schneider did not say anything objectionable.
