My uncle had piles of comics from the comic bubble, so whenever we visted him he just gave me armloads of 70s- early 90s comics. It def made me curious about the past, and see how precarious it was when mom threw them all out. I learned to hate conservatism from an early age because of that.

The firestorm of age-verification laws have done almost nothing to prevent minors from accessing porn online. What they have done is give the state a powerful tool to harass speech they don't like by declaring it pornographic or "harmful to minors."

Every time I make the (correct) statement that social media use is not universally bad for teenagers, or state that the best consensus is that it's beneficial-to-neutral for many and any negative effects are a small subset of teenagers, people demand citations (and then refuse to believe them, sigh)

Yes modern pc gaming is relatively easy, but pc gamers need to understand the appeal of consoles now is that they're DEDICATED HARDWARE TO PLAY GAMES. Not everyone wants to play games on the computer, drm free or not. This urge to consolidate stuff into one box takes a lotta fun outta games

We also need to teach PC players that Steam is a DRM client.
