It is staggeringly reprehensible and reckless to continue this insulting bullshit at a time when the global far right have advanced so far that *the leader of the Conservative Party* is defending recruitment of a convicted neo-Nazi, on the grounds he is an expert on antiracism and anti-extremism.

I’m going to shut up about him after this because I’m as sick of hearing about him as everyone else, but: I think it’s important to understand that the media wagon-circling around someone like liddle is the reason saville et al were able to get away with horrendous acts of abuse for decades

One time I thought “maybe I would enjoy cryptic crosswords” and then I tried a clue and couldn’t solve it and I looked up the explanation and it said I was supposed to replace the word “sailor” with the letters “as”, for “Able Seaman”. Crossword people are seriously weird and also 200 years old

Y'know if i was a writer on AI, maybe even *The* AI writer for the magazine of capital, I might take it upon myself to debunk this kind of nonsense, or at least acknowledge stuff like this is why people think very little of my beat.

we have commissioned a prequel to the jamiroquai single 'return of the space cowboy'. audiences demand to know what happened on the space cowboy's first visit. we're excited to be able to hear that story at last.

None of this is secret. All of it is on the parliamentary record, in her own words, in interviews she gave willingly. #R4Today knew all of it this morning. They chose the Strictly clips & Iain Donut Smith eulogy instead That's not obituary journalism. That's legacy laundering Can't we be honest?🔚

How good is the 80s theme tune for Tomorrows World? They really ruined it after this with some brassy nonsense. They muffed up Prizeman’s organ theme from Songs of Praise the same way. Reckon there must have been some trombophonist in the music dept shitting everything up with brass instruments

Tomorrow’s World is 61 years old today, so it’s the perfect opportunity to show one of the most terrifying book covers of all time.

A terrifying cover of the Tomorrow’s World book where Raymond Baxter’s and James Burke’s heads are warped

You would think it would be something of a democratic crisis, if it’s very publicly demonstrated that bad actors in politics can win power within their party and then over the country with a project based on lying to, and then robbing and fucking over the people who vote for them. It seems bad!
