Those memories surface as almost a reminder to not get too hopeful. I can thank my mind for trying to protect me & choose to embrace anticipation anyways. We all deserve to feel at home in ourselves.

Even if you CAN do a lot of work, WITH accommodation, many employers put bogus expectations into the job description- like physical requirements for non-physical jobs- and refuse to make accommodations, even those that are supposedly mandatory.

Benefits force you into legislated poverty and make you give up any savings or security. People don’t want to rent to the disabled. It’s suffering as a policy choice.
