It’s incredibly difficult to explain that: - my overwhelming joy at being a homeowner - my desire to keep it in as good shape and comfortable as possible - my generally not mulling over vacation options much Are connected.
This this THIS. It’s almost as if people are turning their outrage at the vast lack of systemic support for new civic health considerations towards the people who need or ask for them. Friends. That is ableism. That is part of /what ableism IS/.

I legit think that the majority of people who were 'upset' with me for not acting on any of the pie-in-the-sky thoughts I had about life genuinely don't know what it's like to live with chronic illness. It's possible to like something, to think one has the skills for it, and not be able to do it.

CDs are cheaper and more portable than vinyl, and a greater portion of the money spent goes to musicians compared to the pennies provided by Spotify and Apple Music.
