Hey again folks. I have a conference coming up, and I hurt my shoulder, so I’m going to have to be off-line again this week. #SpoonieAuthChat will return next week. But you can still interact with each other! Happy August!

I recommend my friend Celu Amberstone's books! Her 2 books on Rituals are perennially popular. Her 2 novel series are complete (some readers won't even start a series till it's complete). Her short story collection has REFUGEES, her most reprinted story! books2read.com/amberstone #SpoonieAuthChat

Connecting more with communities centred around disability has been wonderful. I'm also getting better at setting timelines for my editing business that account for my varying supply of spoons, and I'm kinder to myself when I can't meet my personal writing goals. #SpoonieAuthChat

Admittedly it’s just sort of rattling around in my brain. I end up having to do a LOT of rereading of previous drafts and such when trying to remember smaller details like ages, birthdays, and sometimes even eye/hair color I should probably write down some notes one of these days. #SpoonieAuthChat
Spoonie Author Chat (for creatives who manage spoons), July 23, 2026: Writing a series: How do you keep track of everything from book to book? (Please quote-post and add #SpoonieAuthChat to your replies!)
#SpoonieAuthChat July 23 I tend to have a notebook specifically dedicated to that series. I write down all of the worldbuilding, character building, etc. in there and update/refer back to it while I go along. I find it easier to do this in a physical notebook, rather than a digital program.

#SpoonieAuthChat Scrivener is helpful, since you can organise and divide info (and drafts) for multiple books within the same file. A lot of information applies to all the books in a series (general worldbuilding, recurring characters, general timeline, etc.), so 🧵👇

It's a little different, depending on the series. For the Wielder Saga, I have a very expansive mind-palace, but also a smattering of open-at-all-times documents that list relevant things like who works for what faction, their Aspects, and notable events that have happened to them. #SpoonieAuthChat

Thanks for understanding my need to take this week off from #SpoonieAuthChat. But you know what? I would love some recommendations of novellas and short story collections. They help me so much when my reading is affected by the overwhelms. Where are my short-fiction authors? Self-recs are welcome!

Hi, folks! I’m afraid my burnt-out brain misunderstood a situation. I just removed the post on our website about the Weeknight Writers EZine opportunity because I thought it was a open to all, but it’s for members only, as part of the several services they offer members. Sorry for the confusion!
Hi, folks, I’m feeling extra Spoonie because of new meds, so I’d like to take this week off. #SpoonieAuthChat will return next week! In the meantime, please interact with each other. Community building is so important!
