"I'm setting alarms to go to bed at a reasonable hour, wake up at a reasonable hour, and start streaming at my regular time again" turns out today is when the city's coming in to replace our water meters at *checks time* exactly when I would normally be streaming ok

Somebody asked me on Reddit why people who use AI to generate Recomp projects are currently being rejected from the communities and what they can do to fix this. I might tweak parts of this to be a more general blog post at some point, but this should be of help to anyone in a similar situation.

I am obligated to bring up Descent. Legit competitor to DOOM back then. Two recent attempts at rebooting the genre: Overload - loved it but it was a complete commercial flop. Ships That Fight Underground - formerly known as Descent Underground. Trapped in combination of legal and development hell.

Blue Bottle Games, as a policy, does not use generative AI. It's something we've discussed as a team, weighing the pros and cons, and ultimately, we decided it was not for us. Recently, while chatting with a colleague, she mentioned it was useful hearing our reasoning. So: Sharing time! 1/12

Don't really want to hijack the conversation with my own stories but re: last repost In multiple online communities, I've seen the question "who gets hurt the most when an internet collective decides a group needs to be punished" play out, and the answer damn near every time was "queer people".

SNK has exactly One noteworthy series speedrunning, almost entirely produced prior to the studio's current status, with multiple appearances in prior GDQ events without issue. While I agree that more care needs to be taken with official partner/sponsorships, it's not hard to see how this happened.

xbox 360 games will never "become" retro, because they were specifically defined in opposition to retro, much as postmodern literature isn't suddenly reclassified as regular modernist once it's old enough. xbox 360 games can become old, but they can't become retro. if you post sanae at me ill kill y
