I work at a public library. People who want to use AI seem to have no trouble doing so. People who don't want to use AI have a harder time. I crowdsourced and then finalized this document "How to disable or avoid intrusive AI" and then gave it a short URL: notoai.org Please pass along if it's useful

Twitch and Amazon are apparently planning to use streams to train Generative AI. Multiple sources tell me it will be announced in the coming months, despite some internal friction against it. Creators may be able to opt out of some training data.

Still waiting on appeal. Rent went up — new mgmt is CHARGING ME $35/MTH FOR PET RENT on top of it; yes, really — as have other costs. Trying to get by with what little I can, but it's not looking good. I know everyone's struggling, so anything anyone can spare would help so much. 🙏🏼 #mutualaid

The Alberta gov't hates us disabled people, so they slashed our monthly permanent disability by $200 & dumped that responsibility on the federal gov't. They decided I didn't qualify. $200 is all I need for food each month. Any help while I appeal would be appreciated. ko-fi.com/kaldannan/go...

Oops, well, forgot to post a little #lifeupdate here ^^; I was a participant (test subject xD) in a study into the memory/cognitive issues in #LongCovid. The team was great, the subject matter important, but it did knock me on my ass (yay PEM). I'm slowly recovering but that means more pacing. 1/2
