A lot of content is made by extremely online people, who observe the behavior of other extremely online people and assume that's how everyone is. It's very easy to let your worldview be shaped by a small number of people who are very good at getting attention on phones

As an artist, I'm endlessly angry that modern-day social media requires censoring non-sexual nudity.
Feral Mixed media on canvas 2025 My first piece for an art show this year yay !!
i fell into the king gizzard (and the lizard wizard) whole big time this month lmao, it's been a great experience so far... i still don't know why it took me years to finally get into them

Please don't put in the newspaper that 28 children laughed at me

Me, in my strongest Brooklyn accent every time news comes out that affects my entire industry: EY I'M TRYIN' TO HAVE A CAREER OVER HERE!
If you abduct someone and send them involuntarily and without recourse to a country where they've never lived to be imprisoned, that isn't deportation, it's human trafficking
A lot of creative folks are demoralized right now. Hell, I'm one of them. Maybe some of them are helping you through this rough time. If so, do me a solid: Share their stuff. Drop them a kind word. Tip their Ko-fis, or join their Patreons. It seems like nothing, but it's everything right now. 🤘
The future history of now will include something along the lines of "social media put billions of people worldwide in the same room together for the first time in history and it drove them absolutely insane"
Been back on my Bergman shit, and it's been a reminder of how much I love his work and how it has impacted me on a personal and creative level. Sure, I'm not doing a Persona or anything near it lol, but the themes of identity/alienation/guilt are something very present in my art process
That cool artist you admire is probably struggling real hard right now and trying to make it seem like things aren't as bad as they are. You should give them some love.
March seems off to a good start... it seems like I will be working on video/film production again veryyy soon for the first time in literal years. I'll be doing prod. design for a promo vid for a very cool NGO!! Something small but sweet, excited 💫
Tried gelli printing for the first time ever last week and I'm afraid it's become my fave thing ever... can't wait to work on more pieces #art
Water mites. Beautiful. Terrifying.
None intentionally looking for them! 😃 Just the occasional specimen as bycatch. By the way, John Clegg’s bigger book, The Freshwater Life of the British Isles (in The Wayside and Woodland series) is available on @archive.org, too. archive.org/details/fres...
Oh god.... yeah I need to do my v*sa renewal process ASAP because I cannot miss this for anything in the world 😭😭
